Embutidos Carchelejo was founded in 1960 in Sierra Mágina mountains (Jaén), as a traditional butcher shop by Don Bernardino González and Doña Juana Lomas. Based in a village over 900 meters asl, our family business became the leading producer of charcuterie in the region, thanks to patience, slow curing, and absolute respect for the natural maturation process in our family-run curing and smoke rooms.

TODAY, the new generation of the family leads a dedicated team of 70 professionals who combine that artisanal legacy with cutting-edge production technology and integration into the Mayrit group – through its meat division SARX FOODS – allowing us to produce more than 3.5 million kilos and export the quality of our region to over 31 countries across 4 continents.

To guarantee the utmost confidence of our B2B partners and customers, our operation is backed by the highest food safety certifications: IFS Food Safety and BRC.

Our mission is to offer high-quality products adapted to the needs of modern society, promoting healthy eating and inclusion. Therefore, we produce gluten-free and lactose-free products, promote sustainability by using solar energy in our facilities, and are pioneers in the production of turkey cured meats with the highest international Halal certification.

Our vision is to become your default partner and supplier.
